Check this out “The House Bunny”
Posted by ndesigns

Remember the actress who always plays the dumb blonde in the “Scary Movie” movies? She’s Anna Faris, who surprised us with her performance as the lead Playboy Bunny Shelley Darlington in “The House Bunny.” Also starring Katharine McPhee or American Idol fame, Emma Stone (Superbad 2007), Rumer Willis (Demi Moore & Bruce Willis’ daughter) and Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist 2008) and also playboy’s king Hugh M. Hefner as himself.
Directed by Fred Wolf from a screenplay by the writers of “Legally Blonde,” Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, “House Bunny” puts a cheerful spin on its many clichés. This particular wheel hasn’t been reinvented, but at least it gets a nice fresh coat of bubblegum-pink paint and a star to pilot it with aplomb.
The premise of the movie goes like this:
“Shelley Darlington has lived at the Playboy mansion for the last nine years. She is Hef’s favorite and acts like a den mother to the other girls. On her birthday, she is unceremoniously evicted from Hef’s pad for ‘being too old.’ Homeless and without essential skills, Shelley wanders around L.A. until she finds a new job–the housemother and got rejected from the requisite house full of class-obsessed brats, Shelley falls in with the obligatory clutch of “ugly girls,” a ragtag tribe of crypto-lesbians, semi-midgets, clueless nerds and sarcastic anarchists, at the most unpopular sorority on campus.. OMG, no wonder Zeta Alpha Zeta is about to be closed down for lack of pledges and heinous crimes against footwear. Makeover time! And ladies, don’t forget, “The eyes are the nipples of the face.”
So what are you waiting for go check out “House Bunny” yourself and laugh your assoff…

How to wear Lace to work
Posted by ndesigns
Lace has been a big hit this autumn on the catwalk, celebrity and high-street alike, so we thought it was high time that we showed you how lace can work in your wardrobe.
It may have been over-exaggerated on the catwalk as the ‘Grown-up Goth’ look, but lace doesn’t have to be all dark and depressing, or daunting come to that, it can be as understated as you like.
In fact, it will look great incorporated into your every day working life- so go lace crazy, or keep it to a minimum, there are no rules to working this trend. The can-be-vampy material looks polished next to a serious fabric like tweed in office-ready cuts and colors.
Dress:

Shirt or blouse:

A black shirt is standard attire for the office, so why not jazz yours up. The only lace detail is at the top, so you can still work this look without going overboard.
The key to not overdoing this trend is to take one key piece, and work around that, so if your shirt has got the lace detail, then keep the rest of your outfit simple..
Tights:
Tights are a big part of updating your wardrobe for autumn as they can totally change your look. This is perhaps the most difficult lace trend to pull off, but again simplicity speaks volumes when putting your outfit together.

Skirt:
Lacy skirts will also look great in almost any shoes, but preferably with little heels and wedges because they have such a natural feel about them. Also remember not to don yourself with lots of jewelry when wearing a lace skirt because like I said, it’s such a sweet, feminine item that it will completely ruin the look.
Lace skirts come in all sorts of sizes and colors, but remember to pick one that suits your silhouette. The best lace skirts are the ones that hit right around the knee area because they look very chic and classy. You can wear them pretty much anywhere, and they will look great.

Reminder:
Lace is a very feminine fabric, wear only one piece of lace at a time so wear it with feminine clothes like a pair of jeans that fit you really well or a beautiful skirt. Don’t add anything else dramatic to your outfit, the lace is enough. And since lacy tops are very dressy, make sure you keep everything else simple such as sticking to one or two elegant and classic pieces of jewelry and make sure you don’t go overboard. Too much will look very wrong. The last, if your lace top isn’t lined, wear a fitted camisole under in the same color or a matching tone. Make sure your bra doesn’t show.
6 Tips for Making Healthy Salads
Posted by ndesigns
1. Organic vegetables are your best choice.
However, if you are not able to get them, be sure to wash your non-organic veggies thoroughly to remove pesticides and other impurities. A good idea would be to soak them first with Clorox bleach (1 teaspoon per gallon) for 10 minutes, and then rinse well.

2. The key to a delicious salad is vegetables at the peak of freshness and ripeness.
Tomatoes would be much sweeter, if you first keep them for a few days in a dark place at room temperature, transferring to a fridge when they are dark red, ripe, and juicy. Remember: salads, herbs and greens kept too long eventually lose their valuable nutrients.

3. Jazz up your salads with raw, homemade dressings
Made of high quality, extra-virgin olive oil, unrefined flax seed oil, apple cider vinegar, freshly-squeezed lemon juice, avocado, or cultured cream. Avoid using commercial dressings, since they usually contain rancid, cheap, low-quality vegetable oils, preservatives, and coloring additives and offer little nutritious value.

4. Give salads some flash using vegetables of different colors!
A salad mixed with green, white, red, and yellow components ensures a full range of health-promoting minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and enzymes.

5. You CAN cook a salad!
Try steaming or blanching your vegetables before mixing them into a salad. Heat actually makes nutrients in certain vegetables, such as asparagus or broccoli, more available to your body. This is also helpful if you have a delicate intestinal tract, since raw vegetables may not be advisable.

6. Finish with a cheese flourish!
On top of your salad, grate or crumble the cheese of your choice , such as Parmesan, Roquefort, Brie, or Goat’s Feta and it becomes an instant delight for your eyes and taste buds.

Know about Bikini Wax
Posted by ndesigns
For a woman with profuse pubic hair, a bikini wax will ensure she isn’t embarrassed when showing a bikini line when wearing a thong, string bikini, or other skimpy swim suit. Also, some women and their partners believe that a hairless or nearly hairless pubic area looks and feels more erotic, and say that hair removal makes oral sex more enjoyable.
If you are considering having a bikini wax, keep in mind that the pubic hair removal process can be uncomfortable and that the hair will grow back. Stubbly pubic hair is itchy, and may hook you on continuing to wax.
Type of Bikini Wax Styles
Regular Bikini Wax
This style is appropriate for “beginners”. The Bikini Style involves hair removal from the both sides of the bikini line. This pubic hair removal style is also known as the regular style and is used mainly by the older women. In other words the regular bikini wax removes hair just around the front of the bikini line.
French Wax
This style is similar to the bikini style. French style is also known as “modified bikini wax” It takes away some of the hair in the pubic region. The French style is appropriate for those women who love to wear bikinis and other skimpy outfits. In French Bikini Style a tiny, narrow strip of hair is left on the upper part.
Full Brazilian Style
a.k.a Hollywood Bikini Style, Bare Pubic Style, Sphynyx Style. The Full Brazilian is probably the most preferred pubic style. In it the pubic hair is completely removed, usually by waxing. In other words you are completely “bare”. The Full Brazilian wax involves a complete removal of hair from the buttocks, anus, vulva.
Brazilian Wax
also known as Playboy Style involves removal of hair from the anus, buttocks, vulva and only a very narrow strip is left. The Brazilian wax is among the most preferred bikini styles as it looks sexy and is easy to groom. Recent pulls has shown that the Brazilian style is the most preferred by the men.
Landing Strip
also very common bikini “hairstyle”. It basically leaves a bit of pubic hair in the front center. The strip usually narrows in about 1.25 inches more than the regular wax.
Types of Lipstick
Posted by ndesigns
When selecting lipstick, choosing the right type is as important as choosing the most flattering color. Making the best selection is simpler if you know which benefits different lip treatments have to offer. These are five major types of lipstick.
1.Matte
Matte lipstick is deep and dramatic. Matte lipsticks are known for good color, the color is flat instead of shiny. Matte lipstick also tends to dry the lips, so applying a moisturizing base before using it may be advantageous. Look for products containing vitamin E and aloe. Matte lip colors work best on younger smoother and plumper lips.

2.Creme
Creme lipsticks contain more wax than other varieties, which helps protect lips but may cause them to feel dry. The finish is not as shiny as other styles of lipstick and may require an application of lip-gloss to achieve the desired look. Creme lip colors is a good selection for women with small lips

3.Pearly/Frost
These colors make your lips come alive and can make you stand out in a crowd. Great for a funky night out at a party. Frosted lipstick reflects light, making your lips sparkle and glisten. It can feel heavy and may dry or crack, so a moisturizing base may be of benefit with this product as well.

4.Gloss
Gloss isn’t so much a lipstick as it is a lip enhancer. It adds a look of lush and shine to lips. It can be worn with or without lipstick. Because it adds a dimension of depth, it’s also a favorite of women who have thin and small lips.

5.Long lasting & Transfer-resistant lipsticks
Either type will keep your lips looking beautiful for hours. Long lasting lipstick should last from 4 to 6 hours, while transfer-resistant may last 8 or more. Both may feel somewhat dry, so look for products that contain moisturizers or use a base.

Woman Hair Trends 2009
Posted by ndesigns
Taking their cues from 2008, in 2009 women’s hair trends will play to the extremes. They might be extremely short, extremely girly, extremely sexual or extremely slick. It’ll only be the bob hair cut which will sit somewhere to the left of extreme; and you’re going to be hard pressed to find that hair style on fashion forward women.
The Cropped Bob
To put it bluntly: the cropped bob is extreme. It’s not quite a pixie crop (below) nor a bob. Short all over, even with a heavily shortened blunt cut fringe, it’s can only be worn by those who ooze confidence.

The Pixie Crop
The pixie crop started as a hair trend in 2008 but, as a natural progression from the bob hair cut, expect to see plenty of it in 2009.
For those fashionisers who are willing to really take scissors to their hair, the pixie crop offers a bold look far less subtle than the cropped bob, and one that is both young and funky when done right. And doing it right has everything to do with the styling: as we learnt from Katie Holme’s pixie crop a lack of styling and product and you can look suddenly middle-aged.

The Bob
Perhaps both the cropped bob and pixie crop are too extreme for you? Or perhaps you’ve just got a bob and are eager to keep it. Never fear, the bob hair cut is still in fashion in 2009. It’s just not as unique, but paired with the right clothes and hair style you can still own this look.

Top 5 Food Trends for 2008
Posted by ndesigns
1. Eco-Friendly Foods
Increasingly, consumers want to know more about their food like where it was grown, what ingredients it contains, how it was packaged, and the footprint its production left on the earth. Eco-friendly food is food grown, gathered, or harvested near the point of use. By buying eco-friendly food you are supporting the local economy. Small farmers and ranchers are good for your community because their activities keep open space around your community that’s good for ecological diversity and creating fresh air.

2. Concern about Food Safety
No one wants to repeat the scares we had in 2007, when tainted pet food, peanut butter, ground beef, and other products made headlines. Consumers are demanding safe food for us and our pets, and want the government to update the food safety system so we can have confidence that our food supply is safe. So we should concern about The FARM-TO-TABLE INITIATIVE which involves identifying possible contamination points along the farm-to-table continuum and implementing controls for preventing problems that might affect our nation’s food supply
3. Prebiotics and Probiotics
Prebiotics and probiotics can restore the balance of bacteria in your digestive tract. Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that can be found in various foods. When you eat probiotics, you will add these healthy bacteria to your intestinal tract. Common strains include Lactobacillis and Bifidobacterium families of bacteria. Prebiotics are non-digestible foods that make their way through our digestive system and help good bacteria grow and flourish. Prebiotics keep beneficial bacteria healthy.

4. Whole Grains
Whole grain products include breads, pastas, and cereals that are made with 100% whole grain and not with white processed flours. Whole grains are made from the whole kernels of grain, that is both the inside part of the grain and the outer covering. Processed flours remove the outer covering which gives a lighter texture and taste to baked goods but removes a lot of the nutrition and fiber. Enriched breads have some nutrients returned to the bread, so be sure to read the labels when you are shopping. There are other sources for whole grains besides breads and pastas. Whole grain foods and flours include 100% whole wheat, brown rice, bulger, corn, buckwheat, oatmeal, spelt, and wild rice. The USDA suggests that each of us get at least three servings of whole grains every day.

5. Emphasis on Lowering Salt
Sodium makes the body hold on to fluid. To pump the added fluid, the heart has to work harder. Too much salt can worsen symptoms like swelling and shortness of breath and cause weight gain.
For many people, ingesting too much sodium could lead to high blood pressure – a serious risk factor in heart disease and stroke. Some studies suggest a link between high sodium intake and other diseases, such as stomach cancer and the worsening of asthma. And because sodium increases the excretion of calcium into the urine, it could increase bone loss and the risk of kidney stones.
The American Medical Association has urged food manufacturers to lower the sodium in processed foods. With an aging population and recommendations to lower sodium in our diets, companies are working to keep the same flavor profile and lower the sodium

Fashion Trend for Fall 2008 and Winter 2009
Posted by ndesigns
1. Lumberjack Plaid/ Tartan
You don’t even have to be chopping wood in a forest but you can look cool to dress like a lumberjack. Country chic skipped into many a winter wardrobe this year, with plaids being a major element. A successor to the lumberjack trend that swept through the earlier part of the year, plaid as one of the big Fall/Winter 2008/2009 fashion trends is much more demure.

2. Tapered heels
Heels thatstart thick at the top and taper down, often with a curve, into a stiletto-esque point at the bottom. They’re a sexy, interesting and modern style which can really spice up an outfit. Not as much a classic shape, so buy them if you intend to get a lot of wear out of them over the next few seasons.

3. Military Trend
In 2009 the almighty military jacket can also be played up with a feminine touch. Think Ralph Lauren; a boxy, red military-inspired jacket paired with a floor-length feathered gown. It’s impractical, and it works. Gold detailing and ornate trims set off slick military cuts. In 2009, there are a number of different looks you can create - from rock to edgy-feminine to bohemian. For the ultimate in rock chic, skinny pants or shiny leggings are the perfect accompaniment. Wear with killer heels and a killer attitude.

4. Knitwear
Several knit textures and styles stand out. You can see the look of armor in this spectacular metallic cable knit jumper embedded with sequins. The sweater is from Christopher Kane, and it achieves breathtaking designer mastery. Don’t expect to see many versions yet, but everyday heavy chunky cable knits in grey, black, natural, ink, olive, berry and taupe, abound in the high street autumn collections.

5. Feathers
There’s something about feathers - they conjure up images of graceful swans, of flitting sparrows, of fairytales, and the dream of flight that can only ever be a dream for we wingless creatures. Delicate feather details on dresses, skirts, hats, and collars, seen on the Autumn-Winter runways for 2008-2009. The key to the trend is elegance: no bright pink faux-feather boas, please. Ostrich, peacock, pheasant and marabou are some favorable feathers to look out for.
